Our Mission Statement
Our Mission at Bluebonnet Animal Hospital is to deliver the Greater Austin Community veterinary medicine of the highest standard by treating each patient as though he/she were a beloved member of our own family and their human companion with kindness and respect. We strive to maintain a state-of-the facility and our veterinarians stay on the cutting edge through regular continuing education. Finally, we aim to help you maximize your pet care dollar by being open and honest and giving you everything you need to make an informed decision on the care of your best friend.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. Critically ill or badly injured pets will take precedence over regularly scheduled appointments out of necessity.
For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. A drop off means you can bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. As stated above we ask you to drop off your pet between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.in the morning so that our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he/she will call you to go over the diagnosis and give you discharge instructions.
For the safety of all pets in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, your pets may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other animals. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We require that all dogs be on a leash and cats in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, CareCredit, cash and personal checks.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
